Just seeing if anyone was planning to race this weekend, it will be my first race since June. I hope it will feel as good Sunday as it does today!

I'll be there as long as the wife doesn't go into labor before then!!!

The weather is PERFECT for sure.

What class are you going to ride in?

Cool.
I'm riding C lite.
I'm asking for the Hero Cam for my B'day.
Wished I could get the new HD one!

How many hrs or minutes can you record on yours?

Mine is one of the first "Helmet Cam" brand, that came out. It uses a video camera that takes Hi8 Film. So the battery life is 10+ hours but I usally run out of film in about 1.5 hours to 2 hours. It works really well other than being bulky and for some reason the sound doesn't work.(You have to make motorcycle noises while watching the playback) I have a buddy that bought the go pro and it really doesn't take as clear of video, which he may have had it set up wrong.

The wide version uses a different lens than the Hero. The wide is 170 degrees.

I just sold mine but I'm upgrading to the HD when it comes out. Recording in the highest resolution (1080p) also narrows the wide view to 127 degress so there is less distortion. Can't wait! You can preorder the HD at helmetcameracentral. Supposed to be available Oct 15th-18th or so.

Okay that makes good sense, my buddies is not the wide. maybe my wife would agree that we need a HD helmet cam and a 50" 1080p tv to watch it on.

pics from last years swamp/Tree Farm Buddy Race.
The rain stopped about 2 hrs before race time and then started back about 20 minutes after the race ended. The course held up well except for the swampy grass track.
