Alright do you ever get that feeling your being rolled for cash? My wifes Beetle was running fine until she pulled up to red light then it stalled(middle of the highway). When trying to start it the engine turns but it never hits a lick, it sounded like it was trying to be cranked dry (no fuel) so we got it towed to the nearest VW dealer. They call me today to tell me it will be $2400 to get it fixed, they said it needs a catalyst because it keeps clogging ($600), throttle plate ($675) and engine speed sensor. Oh and lucky me its out of warranty by 4 months VW Beetle Help!!! Icon_cry I'm not as familiar with cars as bikes, but I don't mind doing the work myself and have the resources too do so. But I know that thing is going to be a pain to work on, and don't know if I would come out any cheaper. so anyone that can give me any info on what each of these do and if it would cause this problem instantly please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
